What’s a ONE-MAN-BAND?

Good question. It’s not quite like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins and it’s definitely not your grandmother’s Wurlitzer organ. However, there are some things in common. ColumbusMark’s “One-Man-Band” is Mark on the amazing Yamaha keyboard. With ten fingers, a couple of foot pedals, and a whole bunch of buttons Mark can bring an entire band to your event. The Yamaha isn’t like the old electronic keyboards of yesterday, no way. The instruments, everything from grand piano to strings to trumpet to bass to harmonica and hundreds more have all been digitally recorded...one note at a time. So instead of the old-fashion organs and keyboards which attempted to mimic the sounds of an instrument, the Yamaha has the actual digitally recorded instruments which can be played solo or as entire small-band ensembles. And yes, Mark does have to play the thing! Your guests will be tapping their toes and singing along in just minutes...fun is guaranteed! And being a one-man-band makes all of this very affordable.

Thank you so much Mark for the music last night.  The residents are still talking about it!  I called on you for the event because I knew you could get them singing and moving.  It worked out beautifully and I appreciate it, and I know the families and the residents did as well.

Mark is an excellent performer. I have had him come to my independent living facility almost every month to sing and play for my senior residents. They love him!! He is always on time and prepared for anything. He has a great selection of different types of music that anybody would love.
